One of the world’s leading poker sites, 888poker was declared winner of the Poker Marketing Campaign award at the 2021 EGR Marketing and Innovation Awards ceremony. The company received the honors for its “Made to Play” marketing campaign.

“Made to Play” was designed as a multi-market celebration of the launch of the company’s Poker 8 software. 888poker touted the software as an intuitive interface with modern architecture. The online casino also launched a promotional campaign with freerolls, gift drops, and daily spins that gave away over $1 million in prize money. This resulted in a spike in new players and reactivation of active players, as well as higher download rates of the dedicated 888poker casino app.

VP Head of 888poker, Elad Nir, described the win as “a true industry endorsement and testament to the hard work and dedication of the 888poker team.”

“Alongside the launch of our fantastic new Poker 8 product, this campaign has brought a fresh and modern approach to the world of online poker, from the highly entertaining commercial and media activity to the exciting CRM campaign that placed our players in the centre,” Nir added.

Influencers and social media were also used effectively in the global campaign to promote the new product. In addition, the campaign extended to traditional broadcasters as well as print media outlets.

EGR holds annual awards that spotlight the most creative and original operators and affiliates. A team of nonpartisan judges with extensive iGaming experience chose the winners of the industry’s marketing excellence.

Throughout its history, 888 has been consistently recognized through industry rewards for its innovative approach to product development. In 2020, 888poker was crowned Casino Operator of the Year at the Gaming Intelligence Awards. The poker venue also won awards for Poker Listing Operator in categories for Best Beginner Software and Most Improved Software in 2020.
