Sun Vegas Review 8.5/10
- Huge slot selection
- Dedicated iOS app
- Low minimum deposit
- Top-notch security
- Licensed by UKGC and AGCC
There’s a reason Sun Vegas’s name and logo might seem familiar to you – the casino is owned by none other than News Group Newspapers, the publisher of The Sun. Launched in 2019, the website has already become well known among UK punters due to its connection to the popular tabloid. However, as you’ll see from our Sun Vegas review, although the fame of its owner may be what gets people to visit this online venue, the site’s extensive portfolio of games from various providers alongside top-notch security measures is what makes them sign up in the end.
User Experience: 8/10
Sun Vegas’ design mimics the layout of The Sun newspaper’s website, which is predominantly white with black and red accents. It may not be the most exciting solution for a gaming environment that we’ve seen. Still, we appreciate the sense of familiarity it evokes and the fact that absolutely everything at the Sun Vegas casino is exactly where you’d expect it to be. All the essential shortcuts are at the top of each page, while the navigation bar is just below the main banner. The game thumbnails take up the remaining space.
Once you click on one of the navigation tabs, you’ll see that the games aren’t listed randomly but divided into categories. For example, slots are grouped into featured, new, jackpots, and Megaways. There’s also the All Slots list, which you can sort alphabetically or by popularity. If you get tired of scrolling, you can always use the search field at the screen’s top right corner.
You can play the games as soon as you create your Sun Vegas account and make a deposit. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to do so unless you’re from the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland.
Due to the lack of clutter, the website looks and works great when accessed from mobile devices, which you can do through any browser installed on your phone. There is a mobile app as well, which focuses on live casino games. For now, though, it’s only available to iOS users.
Software & Game Selection: 8.5/10
The majority of the Sun Vegas games are provided by Playtech – one of the most experienced game developers in the industry known for its fantastic slots franchises. However, that doesn’t mean that slots are the only gaming option you’ll find here. Namely, the casino offers live casino games and betting on virtual sports as well.
If you love slots, then this online venue is precisely what you’ve been looking for. There are hundreds of titles to enjoy here, of both the regular and jackpot variety. You can also choose from an enormous number of topics such as magical realms, aquatic depths, Egyptian pyramids, and many more.
The Sun Vegas live casino section consists of a solid selection of table games, including roulette, blackjack, poker, and baccarat. Some of the most popular varieties are Age of the Gods Bonus Roulette, Buffalo Blitz Live and Majority Rules Speed Blackjack.
At Sun Vegas, punters can place bets on several virtual sports events, which are electronically generated games based on real sports. Although these can’t replace the real thing, they are entertaining nevertheless.
Bonuses & Free Play Options: 7/10
As soon as you make your first deposit, you’ll receive the Sun Vegas welcome bonus. The bonus involves a 100% deposit match of up to £300.
To get the extra funds, you’ll have to put down at least £10 in your account. Afterward, you’ll be given 30 days to wager both your deposit and bonus amounts at least 50 times and claim your winnings. While you work on meeting this requirement, you’ll also have to make sure not to exceed the maximum bet limit of £5. However, the limit is increased to £10 if you make your first deposit from a mobile device.
The Sun Vegas VIP programme entails collecting comp points, which you can later convert into real money. To earn a point, you’ll need to bet £9 on progressive slots, £10 on regular slots, £20 on live casino, roulette and card games, and £30 on video poker and other games.
Seeing as you’ll need a hundred of these points to earn £1, we wouldn’t consider this the most generous offer around. That said, the players who collect enough points will be able to enjoy the perks of becoming a priority member.
Customer Support: 8.5/10
If you encounter any issues while gaming on this website, you can contact the Sun Vegas customer support team via phone, email, or live chat every day between 8 a.m. and 1 a.m. The representatives are friendly and helpful, and it usually doesn’t take them more than a few minutes to reply to messages. That being said, we can’t help but wish that the service was available 24/7.
Banking Options: 9/10
As the casino is aimed at residents of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, Sun Vegas accepts euros and British pounds. Although this is perfectly reasonable, we hope that we’ll see some cryptocurrency support in the future.
One of the things we like the most about the Sun Vegas online casino is that the minimum deposit is set at only £10, but you can place as much as £1,000 into your gambling account if you prefer. What’s more, all deposits are processed instantly. To make these transactions, you can use debit cards (Visa and Mastercard), PayPal, Skrill, and paysafecard.
Withdrawals can be made with debit cards and PayPal. If you use PayPal, you can expect your funds to be processed within a single business day, but if you choose any of the other methods, you may have to wait up to 4-7 business days. The Sun Vegas maximum withdrawal limit is £50,000 (or £5,500 if the request is made with PayPal), while the minimum is just £5.
The casino is operated by VF2011 Limited and holds licences from the UK’s Gambling Commission and the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. To obtain these licences, casinos must provide proof that they’ve implemented a number of measures to protect their customers.
Your personal information is stored in a secure environment that is guarded with the latest firewalls, and no one without the proper authorisation can access it. Additionally, the Sun Vegas security protocols also include 256 -bit encryption so that your transactions can remain private. The fairness of the casino’s games is ensured through the use of a random number generator (RNG).
As is the case with all the best gambling venues, The Sun Vegas provides multiple kinds of responsible gaming tools. You can set your daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits, as well as a reminder that will pop up if you’ve spent 30 minutes, 60 minutes or 2 hours playing.
The last thing we should mention in our Sun Vegas review is that you can go to the Cool Off section and temporarily disable your account if you need to take a short break from gambling. If you want to prevent yourself from accessing games for up to 5 years, you should use the self-exclusion option instead.
